The error code E10 (or 10E) is the most frequent service alert on Baxi and Roca gas boilers (such as Baxi Platinum Compact, Neodens Plus, Victoria Plus, or Novanox). It indicates that hydraulic pressure inside the heating circuit has dropped below 0.6 bar, triggering an automatic safety shutdown to prevent the pump from running dry.
How to Fix Error E10 Yourself in 3 Steps
1. Locate the filling tap: Look under the boiler casing for a small plastic knob or lever (usually black or blue, situated toward the right or center).
2. Open the filling tap slowly: Turn the knob counterclockwise until you hear water rushing into the internal system.
3. Watch the pressure gauge: As water enters, watch the front analog dial or digital display rise. Once it reaches between 1.2 and 1.5 bar, firmly close the filling tap clockwise.
