What is Electrical Panel?
The electrical panel is the box with switches usually located at the entrance, bathroom, or hallway of your house. It distributes the current from the meter to the different circuits and protects them with circuit breakers. Any intervention on the panel requires a certified electrician.
When you encounter it in an emergency & typical cost
Old panels (>20 years) usually have a single RCD. Modern ones feature super-immunized RCDs and separate the circuits.
